Flathead Ridge Ranch
A voluntary-market Improved Forest Management project developed with the American Carbon Registry (ACR888). The property was purchased in 2021 from an industrial timber owner and had been intensively harvested under a short-rotation, even-aged regime typical of the region. Under the carbon project, the owner has committed to reducing harvest, using light-touch silviculture and fuels reduction to build stocking well above the regional business-as-usual baseline while maintaining public recreation access and wildlife habitat.
